R-BIAL Prep Admissions:

Innovating Minds and Harmonizing Futures

Welcome to the Reed-Bennett Institute of Alternative Learning (R-BIAL), where we replace the factory model of education with a dynamic, student-driven ecosystem. If you are looking for a learning environment that values what you can do over what you have memorized, R-BIAL is the place for you.

Our Unique Model

No Grades, Only Mastery

R-BIAL is a self-paced, competency-based school designed specifically to prepare resilient thinkers for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

  • Self-Paced Progression: You move at your own speed, accelerating through competencies you master quickly and taking necessary time for deep understanding in challenging areas. Progress is based on mastery, not a fixed calendar.

  • Small In-Person Cohort, Deep Mentorship: Our 1:15 student-to-Learning Mentor ratio ensures you receive highly personalized guidance, coaching, and support throughout your entire learning journey.

  • The Narrative Transcript: We do not use traditional letter grades or a GPA. Instead, we compile a detailed Narrative Transcript and a Portfolio of your original Capstone Projects to demonstrate your real-world skills and competency mastery to colleges and employers.

  • Agency & Self-Direction: You are motivated to take ownership of your learning and embrace new challenges.

  • Curiosity & Interdisciplinary Inquiry: You are excited to connect knowledge across different domains—from data science and engineering to history and music.

Resilience: You view failure as data and are committed to revision and continuous improvement.
